Vermont AIDS Awareness Day was a great success! People from all over the state and a variety of HIV/AIDS related service organizations came together to make our presence known!
We spent the day speaking with legislators and getting signatures for our declaration of support for our Anti-Stigma campaign aimed at mitigating HIV/AIDS related stigma. We also met with Governor Douglas and spoke of the importance of keeping HIV/AIDS a priority at the state house.
On Friday April 18th bill H.112, a bill Vermont CARES has opposed since it was introduced, went before the Health and Welfare Committee and was put on hold indefinitely.
