Every year, on June 27th, Vermont CARES partners with many other regional HIV-related organizations to sponsor National HIV Testing Day, which is a day to raise awareness of and access to HIV testing services.
Vermont CARES’ testing services are free of charge, anonymous, and offered year-round, but on and around National Testing Day we increase testing hours, shifts, and access points. We strive for HIV testing to be hassle-free, accessible, and health-affirming. Early diagnosis of HIV leads to much more manageable treatment, and
Vermont CARES can support individuals at every step of the way; from counseling about HIV risk, to testing for and diagnosing HIV, to living with HIV in a healthy and supportive community.
