Rutland AIDS Walk
September 14
Vermont CARES will host an AIDS Walk through downtown Rutland on Friday, September 14! This is part of our on-going celebration of the Vermont CARES’ 25th Anniversary.
This will be a fun, informal, short, downtown midday walk that will be super-easy to participate in during their lunch hour. The Main Street Park will be the starting and ending point, providing a green, grassy area for snacks, drinks and socializing.
The route would take participants on sidewalks from West Street, to Merchants Row, up Madison Street, then back to the Main Street Park. Registration for the walk will be available on-line, starting in mid-July, and there will also be a registration table at the Main Street Park, starting at 11:00am on September 14. The walk will officially start around 12:15 with participants completing the walk around 12:40-1:00.
The Rutland AIDS Walk will coincide with free, anonymous rapid HIV Testing event in our new Rutland office location (56 Howe Street, 1st Floor) throughout the day on September 14.
