PROTEST

Vermont CARES in the news:

AIDS Walk 2007 took place on Saturday, September 29th in Burlington’s City Hall Park.  Close to 250 people marched through the streets of Burlington to raise money and awareness for the fight against HIV/AIDS here in Vermont.  This year was particularly touching, since we had such a tremendous turnout demonstrating that the stigma around HIV/AIDS can be met with compassion and we can work together to better serve our neighbors affected by this epidemic.

The Walk brought in over $9,000 to help Vermont CARES carry out its mission to improve the quality of life, create compassionate communities, and prevent the spread of HIV.  The money raised will go to fund services for Vermonters living with HIV/AIDS, community outreach and education programs designed to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS and free and anonymous HIV testing.
